William Wayne Fisher, 81, of Kansas City, formerly of Higbee, passed away at his home on August 9, 2015. Bill was born march 13, 1934 in Higbee, Mo to John Thomas Fisher and Edna Fisher. On February 1, 1953, he married Dorothy Ann O’Conner in Mexico, Mo. They relocated to Kansas City where they resided for over 50 years, 37 of which were spent at KCP Gas where he worked as a foreman.
Bill liked hunting, fishing and antique collecting. He enjoyed going to auctions and loved the thrill of a sale. He was very witty and friends and family will miss his sense of humor.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, numerous siblings, his daughter, Debbie Cook; and his sons, Doug Fisher and Tommy Fisher.
Survivors include his daughter Patty (Jeff) Hintze of Gladstone; son-in-law, Randall Cook of Kansas City, Mo; daughters- in-law, Jennie Fisher and Pat Fisher, both of Moberly, Mo; grandchildren, John (Tina) Cook of Lawson, Mo; Rachel (Don) Lasater of Lake Waukomis, MO; Misty Cook of Kansas City, Mo; Sarah Fisher of Branson, MO; several beloved great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Services celebrating William’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
