William “Bill” Clark Sago, age 77, of Moberly, passed away at his home Saturday, April 26, 2014.
Bill was born July 25, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to Henry Lee Sago and Estelle Marie Snyder Sago. He had lived in the Moberly area for six years. Bill served his country in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1962. He married Mary Catherine Kern on February 5, 1955 in St. Louis County (Maplewood) and to that union four children were born. He worked in the flooring business as a tile setter until his retirement. Bill was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as well as fishing and gardening. He was a fan of the History Channel and Nascar.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, Henry and Estelle; his wife Mary Catherine; sister LuAnn Kelly and stepbrother Jack Braun.
He is survived by his children; Cecilia “Cindy” Curtis ( Rick) of St. Louis, Mo., Catherine Richard (Brian) of St. Louis, MO, Chris Sago (Nann) of Moberly, MO; and Claudette Nelson (Chad) of Ankeny, IA; grandchildren, Joshua Richard (Kristin) of St. Louis, Jesse Richard (Larah) of St. Louis, Matthew Curtis and fiancée Alyssa Noe of St. Louis, MO, Corey and Abbey Sago of Moberly, MO, Jacob and Evan Nelson of Ankeny, IA, and those he loved as grandchildren; Scott Morris (Sarah) of Glasgow, MO, and Cheyanne Hubert of Moberly, MO; great grandchildren Bradley, Tyler, Elise, Shae and Charlotte Richard all of St. Louis, MO, brother-in-law Jim Kelly, sister-in-law Jane Guelker, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services will be Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Graveside services with full military honors, followed by interment, will take place Monday, May 5, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, MO.
