Wilma Jean Franks

Wilma Jean Franks, age 75, of Moberly, Missouri, went home to the Lord on October 18, 2023, at Valley View Nursing Home. 

Wilma was born on March 16, 1948, in Kansas City, KS, to Henry and Zella (Peters) Franks.  She graduated from Higbee High School and accepted a position as an Assembler at Orscheln where she worked for more than 25 years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.  Wilma enjoyed reading, traveling, and visiting with friends.  Her family and friends will always remember her for her fun-loving and enjoyment of life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Zella Franks; sister, Ruth Goodman; brother, Charles Franks; infant brother, Lester Franks; sister, Helen Franks McBroom; sister, Joyce Franks; and nephew, Justin McBroom.

Wilma is survived by her sister, Becky Franks of Moberly, MO; niece, Marie Shonkwiler, of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Gene Goodman; nephew, David Goodman; niece, Agnes Madden, of Garden City, MO; niece June Franks, of VA; nephew, Danny Franks, of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Dennis Franks, of Blue Springs, MO; niece, Denise Thomas, of Raytown, MO; and nephew Jason McBroom, of Tonganxoye, KS.

A graveside service celebrating Wilma’s life will be held at a later date.
