Obituary of Clarence Brandow

Clarence “Skeets” Brandow, 96, of Huntsville, formerly of Clark, passed away on Christmas Day surrounded by his family.  He was born in Clark, MO on November 27, 1924 to William Brandow and Florence Andrews Brandow.

Clarence honorably served the United States Army from 1946 to 1948. On July 15, 1946 he wed Rosena Bonuchi. The two spent close to 57 years together before she passed away in July of 2003. Skeets worked for several years in maintenance for A. P. Green. He was a member of the Christian Church in Clark and a lifetime member of VFW Post 2654.  He enjoyed fishing, farming, raising cattle and tending his vegetable garden.  Skeets also liked to take the occasional trip to the casino in Boonville but, at age 80, told his family, there were too many old people there.  He appreciated the simple things in life and was happiest being home on his farm.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosena; infant son, Gary; his parents, William and Florence; sisters, Edith, Mary and Peggy; brothers, Billy, Johnny, Ray and David; granddaughter, Jennifer and great granddaughter, Alysaa.

Skeets is survived by his children, Steve and Janet Brandow of Huntsville, Kenny and Nancy Brandow of Lake of the Ozarks and Kathy and Robert Hellensmith of  Moberly; grandchildren, Justin Brandow of Kansas City, Jason and Danielle Brandow of Huntsville, Chris and Jennifer Brandow of Centralia, Jennifer and Lincoln Haynes of Moberly, Devin and Karlie Brandow of Mexico, Eric and Donnell Hellensmith of Columbia and Ben and Pam Ridgway of Huntsville; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Darlene and LeRoy Stuck of Cairo, Robert and Earlene Brandow of Clark and Richard and Lois Brandow of Columbia; nieces, nephews, extended family and many close friends.
